Managing Hypersensitivities in Moms and Kids With ADHD – 2018

We hear a lot about children with ADHD and challenging behaviors but often overlook one of the big reasons for these difficult behaviors: hypersensitivities. But what happens when you’re a mom with ADHD who is hypersensitive to stimuli, raising a child who is also hypersensitive? This session will cover how both mom and child with ADHD may struggle with various hypersensitivities and how you can help your child and yourself.

But many, if not most adults with ADHD also struggle with hypersensitivities. What happens then, when you’re a mom with ADHD who is hypersensitive to stimuli, raising a child who is also hypersensitive? Both adults and children with hypersensitivities can be either stimuli “avoiding” or stimuli “seeking.” This session will cover how both mom and child with ADHD may struggle with various hypersensitivities and how you can help your child and yourself.
