Women with ADHD are at higher risk for developing negative body image and eating disorders, like bulimia and binge eating disorder. There are various risk factors that can predispose women to these issues. This conversation will focus on understanding this relationship better, as well as developing ways to foster a better relationship with food and our bodies.
Dr. Roberto Olivardia is a Clinical Psychologist, Lecturer in Psychology in the Department of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and Clinical Associate at McLean Hospital. He maintains a private practice in Lexington, Massachusetts, where he specializes in the treatment of ADHD, OCD and Body Dysmorphic Disorder as well as researching and treating boys and men with eating disorders.
