Not all experts are equally expert at what they do, and knowing how to find a resource you can trust can be daunting for parents of complex kids. Middle-of-the-night internet searches may calm anxieties, but they don’t always lead you to the best fit in terms of expert resources. So if Google searches tend to create overwhelm rather than actually meeting your family’s needs, what should you do to find the support you can trust? You need to break through the clutter and find help that is relatable, thoughtful, well-informed and offers a clear perspective based on experience – personal, professional, and ideally, both.
Jeff Copper and Nikki Kinzer have interviewed more experts on ADHD between them than almost anyone else in the community. In this conversation, they guide parents to understand what to look for in an expert, and how to find support that really meets their needs.
Jeff Copper, MBA, PCC, PCAC, CPCC, ACG, is an attention coach and expert on attention issues. He founded DIG Coaching Practice and is host and founder of Attention Talk Radio and Attention Talk Video.
Jeff helps his clients understand themselves and how their minds work. Using his Anatomy of Attention construct, they can achieve what they are capable of faster and with less stress.
