About Ellen Littman, PH.D.
Dr. Ellen B. Littman is a clinical psychologist who has specialized in understanding thosew with neurodiverse btains for 35 years. Educated at Brown and Yale Universities, the LIU Clinical Psychology Graduate Progam, and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, she is licensed in 40 states via PsyPact. Dr Littman’s prac tice focuses on a high IQ adult ADHD population. Her holistic strenghts-bassed assessment and depathologizing approach respects and empowers individuals through a combination of psychoeducation, insight, coaching, and warm support.
Described by the American Psychological Association as “a pioneer in the identification of gender differences in ADHD,” she has expertice working with neurodiverse females. Internationally recognized as an author and speaker, Dr. Littman co-authored the book Understanding Girls with ADHD, first published in 1999 and updated in the 2015 edition, in addition to authoring more than 60 articles and numerous book chapters. As founding chair of the Special Interest Group on Women and Girls with ADHD of the American Professional Society of ADHD & Related Disorders, she has promoted the collaborative perspectives of reseatchers and clinicians.
