Women end up bearing a lot of the weight for their households. In addition to working outside of the home, they are the public face of their families and the organizers of family life. The stress with all of these roles can be overwhelming and, a recent study, found that it may be life-threatening. Researchers Elizabeth Nions and her colleagues at Cambridge University found a reduction in life expectancy in adults with ADHD, especially women. Their results showed a reduction of 6.78 years for males and 8.64 years for females. In this session, we will discuss how to reduce physical, psychological and emotional stress in the lives of women with ADHD.
