Why I Have Lunch with Your (Non-ADHD) Partner Every Week – 2021

$13.00

Understanding the world through the eyes of the other is always challenging, but it’s one of the most rewarding experiences you can have. For the last four years, I’ve been spending 90 minutes a week with (mostly) women married to (mostly) men with ADHD. It’s helped partners see what life looks like through an ADHD set of lenses. It’s also helped me see life from the other side of the street.

About Mike Fedel

I’m a Midwestern guy, married with 2 kids, who grew up in and around Detroit. Over the years — and in typical ADHD fashion — I’ve been a semi-professional musician, artist, writer, and improviser, a software developer and college instructor, as well as a Dad and husband. I was diagnosed with ADHD in 2013 at the age of 57. I’m an ADDCA-trained ADHD coach and the creator of the Neurodiversity Lounge for ADHD in Virtual Reality. I facilitate several ADHD support and peer support groups, including an in-person group in Ann Arbor (started in 2013) and two men’s groups. Since 2017, I’ve also facilitated ADDA’s Non-ADHD Partner Peer Support Group. Over these last 4 years, I’ve learned from hundreds of our partners what it’s like being in relationship with one of us. And they’ve heard what it looks like from our side of the street.
