Humor is more than something we all could use more of. There are scientific benefits from humor including an immune system boost, increased social connection and stress reduction. In addition humor can provide perspective and can provide a mindful, nonjudgmental way of coping with some of the challenges and frustrations of having and/or parenting ADHD. About Roberto Olivardia, Ph.D.

Dr. Roberto Olivardia is a Clinical Psychologist and Lecturer in Psychology in the Department of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. He maintains a private practice in Lexington, MA where he specializes in the treatment of ADHD, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD) and eating disorders. He has appeared in publications such as TIME, GQ, and Rolling Stone, and has been featured on Good Morning America, CNN, and VH1. He has spoken on numerous webinars and presents at many talks and conferences around the country. He currently serves on the Professional Advisory Boards for CHADD, ADDA and the National Association for Males with Eating Disorders. He is also on the Scientific Advisory Board for ADDitude, as well as a Featured Expert on Understood.org.
